today was a good day. you might not know it, but you, your compassion, your ambition, your drive inspires me. you make me smile. you make me think critically about my life and question my surroundings in ways that I never though possible. you make me feel safe and your support means the world to me. when I put my earplugs in, silencing the world around me…all I can hear is the beat of my heart as it ticks away every precious second I have left in SD
i only have a week left in san diego before i move home :( even though it’s finals week i need to learn to take in every moment that i have left. here’s to breathing in every second, every smile, every tear and cherishing all the time i have left because Lord knows once I leave none of this is ever going to be the same
1) rarocks showing up after dinner to give my family snacks on their way home
2) running into monica on the shuttle on the way to class and being able to talk about life
3) serendipity and studying :) “THAT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN IN REAL LIFE” -ading tigs
1) I love walking up peterson hill in the afternoon when the sun is starting to set, and it hits the trees on the left at just the right angle so that the rays of sunlight are streaming through. It always leaves me with this calming effect
2) My one-on-one with ading Miko. I love the energy that I get off of her and we’re able to connect. She always makes me smile

Don’t even tell me that you don’t care and that people need to just “get over it”. This has been taken too far. How could someone have the audacity to hang a noose in the library. There used to be a time when I would jump at every opportunity to go out, ignoring any responsibilities that I had. In my head, missing a social event would make me less of a person.
Now here I am on a Saturday night, chilling at home and studying while everyone else dances the night away. My oh my, have things changed…
